Lovet Pet Health Care Expands with New Clinic in Grand Rapids

Lovet Pet Health Care has announced the grand opening of its fourth veterinary clinic in West Michigan, located at 1935 Breton Road SE in Grand Rapids. This expansion follows the clinic’s initial opening in April 2023 at 4290 Lake Michigan Drive NW in Standale, where Lovet veterinarians have already cared for over 2,200 pets and welcomed 1,900 new pet owners.

Rapid Growth in West Michigan

Since mid-October, Lovet has opened two additional clinics at 3500 Alpine Ave NW in Walker and 2135 E Beltline Ave NE in Grand Rapids. According to Courtney Gruber, President of Lovet Pet Health Care, “Grand Rapids has quickly become one of Lovet’s most vibrant and fast-growing markets.” This rapid growth reflects the increasing demand for veterinary services in the region.

Lovet’s 2025 Checkup Report highlights the positive impact of pets on mental and emotional well-being, noting that approximately 86% of pet owners nationwide and 87% in Michigan affirm this benefit. However, the report also reveals a concerning trend: 44% of Michigan pet owners have delayed or skipped veterinary care due to rising costs.

Addressing Financial Barriers

To tackle these financial challenges, Lovet has designed a model that offers various cost-saving solutions aimed at making veterinary care more accessible. This includes a free first exam for all Lovet clients. Gruber emphasized the importance of this accessibility, stating, “That deep connection is exactly why we’re continuing to expand here: to make high-quality, compassionate veterinary care easier to access for every pet-loving family in West Michigan.”

In addition to its expansion, Lovet is actively hiring for all four of its West Michigan locations, creating approximately 50 local jobs for veterinarians, veterinary technicians, and support staff. Interested candidates can apply through the company’s careers portal at careers.lovet.com.

As part of its community involvement, Lovet partnered with the Humane Society of West Michigan earlier this month, sponsoring a pet first aid tent at the Humane Hustle 5K & Walk. This event aimed to encourage pet owners to prepare their own first aid kits, reinforcing Lovet’s mission to enhance pet care education and preparedness for families in the region.

Lovet Pet Health Care, previously known as AZPetVet, began as a network of 23 animal hospitals in and around Phoenix, Arizona. The company has since expanded its reach to include locations in Chicago and now Grand Rapids, reflecting its commitment to providing compassionate veterinary care across multiple regions.
