Families Celebrate Holidays at Zumbro Valley Christmas Tree Farm

Families gathered at Zumbro Valley Christmas Trees on December 6, 2025, to select their perfect holiday tree while enjoying hot cocoa by the fire. This festive event marks a cherished tradition for many in the community, offering a joyful atmosphere as families create lasting memories together.

Located in the heart of the region, Zumbro Valley Christmas Trees has been a favorite destination for local families for the past ten years. The farm provides a diverse selection of trees, including Blue Spruce, White Pine, and Scotch Pine. Owner Dave Blissenbach shared his inspiration for the farm, which stems from his uncle’s decades of experience in cultivating Christmas trees near St. Cloud.

“I was inspired by my uncle who’s been growing Christmas trees up near St. Cloud for fifty some years,” Blissenbach remarked. He has dedicated the last twenty years to planting trees at his farm, noting that it takes approximately eight to ten years for a tree to mature fully.

Blissenbach reflected on the connections he has made with families over the years. “We have a few people who have been with us that whole time,” he said. “We see the young families as they grow and their kids get a little bigger each year. Everybody’s always in a good mood when they’re getting a Christmas tree, and it’s just a lot of fun to be able to be a part of that and help them make a memory for their families.”

Zumbro Valley Christmas Trees will continue to welcome visitors throughout the 2025 season, operating on Saturdays and Sundays until December 14. The farm encourages families to come and participate in the holiday spirit, ensuring a delightful experience for all ages.

As the holiday season approaches, events like this provide a warm reminder of community and tradition, reinforcing the importance of family gatherings and the simple joys of selecting a Christmas tree.
