URGENT UPDATE: A chaotic party in Chesterton ended in violence and jail time for the hosts, Keshawn Lamar Stephens, 27, and Tiffany Amber Wilfong, 30. Both were arrested on December 20 and face multiple felony charges after a disturbing incident unfolded at their home on the 900 block of S. 19th Street.
Authorities received a 911 call reporting a fight, but when police arrived, Wilfong initially denied needing assistance. Just moments later, she called back, claiming that during an argument, Stephens had bear-hugged her, prompting her to stab him in self-defense with a pair of scissors. The situation escalated quickly, highlighting the urgent need for intervention.
Police found a troubling scene upon their return, discovering a “trail of blood” leading them to an upstairs bathroom. There, they located Stephens hiding in a bathtub. Officer Darren Conley stated, “I placed a tourniquet on Keshawn’s arm, and he was transported by medics to the hospital for treatment.”
Both Stephens and Wilfong were charged with Level 5 and Level 6 felony counts of domestic battery due to the violent altercation and the presence of a minor during the incident. Additionally, Stephens faces a misdemeanor charge for invasion of privacy, having violated a prior court order prohibiting contact with Wilfong.
