Red Bluff High School athletes have earned top accolades in the Northern Section Football All-Section honors, with linebacker Jaret Bridwell and offensive guard Adan Rodriguez both securing spots on the first team. This recognition, determined by the Northern Section Media Panel, highlights their exceptional performances throughout the season.
Bridwell’s impressive statistics include a section-high 173 tackles, with 23 tackles for loss, earning him the title of Eastern Athletic League Defensive MVP. This marks his second consecutive year on the All-Section first team. Rodriguez also achieved first-team status for the second straight year, further solidifying his reputation as a key player in the league.
Joining them in recognition are Jackie Graves, a wide receiver, and outside linebacker Bryce Owens, who both made the second team. Graves recorded 35 receptions for 508 yards and contributed significantly on defense with five interceptions. Meanwhile, Owens amassed 100 tackles, including a section-best 40 tackles for loss, and registered 6.5 sacks during the season.
In addition to the Red Bluff players, Corning junior Kaleb Flournoy earned a spot on the 2025 All-Section Team as an athletic position player. Flournoy’s standout season included scoring 24 touchdowns, ranking second in the Northern Section, along with an impressive total of 1,098 rushing yards.
The Northern Section Offensive MVP award was granted to Lane Brown, quarterback for Winters, who made history by surpassing the 2,000-yard mark in both rushing and passing. Brown led his team to a 6-A State championship victory over Morse, finishing the season with 2,279 rushing yards and 2,272 passing yards, alongside a remarkable 27 rushing touchdowns and 26 passing touchdowns.
Among other notable performances, Wyatt Gillett from Los Molinos excelled as one of the only players to rush for over 2,000 yards, finishing the season with 2,187 yards and 21 touchdowns, yet did not make the All-Section team due to a highly competitive running back field. This cohort also featured Titus Andrus of Pleasant Valley, who, despite suffering a knee injury, rushed for 1,521 yards and scored 21 touchdowns.
The All-Section selections also highlight the contributions of other standout players, including Koby Johnson from Enterprise and Dathen Moore from Lassen, who were recognized as second-team running backs for their impressive performances. Johnson rushed for 1,623 yards and scored 14 touchdowns, while Moore gained 1,199 yards and achieved 10 touchdowns.
In the defensive category, Jason Davis of Gridley was named the Defensive MVP, while Gerald Piper, head coach of Redding Christian, received the Bob Reed Northern Section Football Coach of the Year award for leading his team to a state championship victory.
The first team and second team selections reflect the depth of talent in the Northern Section, showcasing a mix of seasoned athletes and emerging stars. As the season comes to a close, the achievements of these players highlight the intense competition and skill present in high school football across the region.
