Linda (Soule) Mountainland, aged 55, passed away on October 28, 2025, at Midcoast Hospital in Brunswick. Born on November 21, 1969, in Rockland, she was a cherished member of her community and a devoted family member. Linda was known for her gentle spirit and dedication to caring for others, leaving behind a legacy of kindness.

Growing up in the Midcoast area, Linda graduated from Medomak Valley High School before pursuing her education at the Midcoast School of Technology. There, she obtained her Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification along with several additional qualifications. Her career in healthcare spanned various roles, including her time at the Midcoast Senior Health Center, where her compassionate approach made a lasting impact on those she served.

Linda’s greatest joy was found in her family. She treasured simple moments, whether it was sharing meals with her husband, Charles Mountainland, or engaging in long conversations with her sister. Her family remembers her soft heart, quiet humor, and the unique ability to make others feel valued and appreciated.

Family and Community Impact

Linda was predeceased by her parents, Austin Soule and Violet Harding, as well as her stepmother, Betty Soule. She is survived by her beloved husband, Charles, and their three sons, Jamie, Brandon, and Nick Mountainland, all of Brunswick. Additionally, she leaves behind her siblings, Mary Jane Soule of Rockland, David Soule of Warren, and Laura Soule of Cushing, along with many nieces and nephews who will carry forward her memory.

Linda’s kindness and care extended beyond her family. Friends and community members will remember her for the warmth she brought to every interaction. Her ability to connect with people made her a beloved figure in the lives of those she touched.
