Radius Global Infrastructure, Inc. has appointed Laura Fernandez as its new chief operating and strategy officer, a strategic move designed to enhance the company’s execution capabilities in the rapidly growing digital infrastructure sector. The announcement was made by Scott G. Bruce, the company’s Chief Executive Officer, who emphasized that Fernandez will be instrumental in shaping and implementing Radius Global’s long-term growth strategy.
In her role, Fernandez will report directly to the CEO and will manage global operations and strategy. Her responsibilities will include identifying new business opportunities and aligning the company’s priorities to ensure sustainable value creation. Based in London, she will collaborate closely with executive and senior leadership teams across various regions as Radius Global continues to expand its services to network operators, tower companies, and other clients in the digital infrastructure space.
Scott G. Bruce highlighted Fernandez’s extensive experience, noting that she possesses a rare blend of operational leadership, financial acumen, and in-depth industry knowledge. Her background within the telecommunications and digital infrastructure sectors positions Radius Global to better meet customer needs while competing in an increasingly capital-intensive market.
Fernandez brings with her 25 years of international experience across Europe, Latin America, and North America. She most recently served as the chief executive officer of Ontix, a UK-based digital infrastructure company backed by private equity. Prior to that, she held senior leadership roles at Telefonica, including finance director for operations and transformation, as well as head of strategic planning at O2 in the United Kingdom. Her experience also includes serving as group financial controller and head of investments at Telefonica Europe, along with a position as a non-executive director at Cornerstone.
The digital infrastructure sector is currently experiencing robust growth, driven by significant investments from wireless carriers, data providers, and cloud-based businesses focused on enhancing connectivity and network density. Radius Global Infrastructure’s decision to appoint Fernandez underscores its commitment to disciplined execution and a customer-centric strategy as the company embarks on its next phase of expansion.
This strategic appointment reflects a clear intention to align with evolving market demands and to capitalize on the opportunities presented by an expanding global digital landscape.
