Georgia Tech Dominates Florida A&M 89-65 with Strong Team Effort

In a commanding performance, the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets secured an 89-65 victory over the Florida A&M Rattlers on Sunday. Baye Ndongo led the charge with a double-double, scoring 15 points and grabbing 11 rebounds. This win marks Georgia Tech’s fourth consecutive victory, improving their season record to 9-4.

The team showcased their depth, with six players reaching double-digit scoring. Chas Kelley III contributed significantly, finishing with 14 points on an impressive 5-for-5 shooting performance. Other key contributions came from Akai Fleming (12 points), Kowacie Reeves Jr. (11), Mouhamed Sylla (11), and Lamar Washington (10), who also recorded eight assists and seven rebounds.

Georgia Tech dominated the game from the outset, leading for all but the first 14 seconds. A decisive 24-5 run to close the first half propelled them to a comfortable 43-21 lead at halftime. The momentum continued into the second half, where a 20-8 run expanded their lead to a game-high 34 points.

For Florida A&M (3-8), Kaleb Washington was the standout player, scoring 21 points. He was supported by Jaquan Sanders, who added 20 points to the Rattlers’ total.

Looking ahead, Georgia Tech will face a challenging matchup against Duke as they begin their Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) play on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Florida A&M will kick off their Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) schedule against Bethune-Cookman on Saturday.
