Boston College’s KP Price Returns for Senior Season, Strengthening Defense

The Boston College Eagles football program received a significant boost as safety KP Price announced his return for the upcoming senior season. In a statement shared on social media platform X, Price expressed his commitment to the team with a graphic declaring “He’s Not Done” alongside his jersey number, 2. He emphasized his intent to “complete the mission” in his post.

Price has been a key player for the Eagles, leading the team in total tackles for the past two seasons. In the 2025 season, he was named a team captain for the first time, starting in all 12 games. His versatility was showcased as he made three starts at linebacker in addition to nine in the secondary. The 6-foot-1, 200-pound athlete recorded a remarkable 94 tackles (including 65 solo tackles), three tackles for loss, three quarterback hits, two interceptions, and one fumble recovery, earning him a spot on the All-ACC Second Team.

In the previous season, Price made all 13 starts at strong safety, leading the Eagles with 85 tackles, two interceptions, and two tackles for loss. His collegiate journey began with a strong performance as a true freshman in 2023, contributing to the Eagles’ victory over No. 24 SMU in the Wasabi Fenway Bowl.

Before joining Boston College, Price was recognized as a three-star recruit by 247 Sports, earning First-Team All-Conference and First-Team All-Metro honors. He played his first three high school seasons at Calvert Hall College High School before transferring to St. Frances Academy for his senior year.

Price’s announcement comes amid a notable roster turnover for the Eagles. Following the conclusion of the 2025 season, a total of 26 players from the roster have entered the transfer portal, including key starters such as quarterbacks Dylan Lonergan and Shaker Reisig, running back Turbo Richard, and several defensive players.

Price’s return is critical as the Eagles prepare for the 2026 campaign under the new leadership of first-year defensive coordinator Ted Roof, who was appointed on December 30. His experience and leadership will help maintain a level of continuity within the team, particularly as they adjust to changes in the coaching staff and player roster.

In addition to his captaincy, Price attended the 2025 ACC Football Kickoff in Charlotte, North Carolina, representing the program as one of four players selected by head coach Bill O’Brien. His commitment to returning for his senior season reflects not only his dedication to the Eagles but also his aspirations to further develop as a player and leader in the program.
