Karen McDowell will present a living history performance at the Columbus Library on February 26, 2024, at 14:00. This engaging program will feature a biographical monologue and reenactment of a significant African American historical figure, whose identity will be disclosed during the event.
McDowell brings a wealth of experience to her performance, holding a degree in theatre arts from Limestone College. She has spent over 32 years as a library assistant at Landrum Library, where she developed her passion for character reenactments. These performances vividly illustrate the lives, histories, and accomplishments of influential African Americans through original biographical monologues.
