The Siena men’s lacrosse team enjoyed a successful week, earning two prestigious awards from the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC). The conference’s sports information directors recognized senior goalkeeper Vito DeBellis and junior midfielder Patrick Radomski for their outstanding performances following a decisive 14-5 victory over Binghamton.
Radomski’s Record-Setting Performance
Patrick Radomski, hailing from Massapequa, New York, delivered an exceptional performance in the game against Binghamton. He achieved a career-high of 10 points, scoring six goals and providing four assists. In addition to his offensive prowess, Radomski also contributed defensively by collecting one ground ball. His efforts helped propel Siena to a 2-1 record for the season.
Radomski’s stellar game not only helped his team secure the victory but also showcased his abilities as a key player in the MAAC. His recognition as a weekly award recipient highlights his significant impact on the field.
DeBellis’ Stellar Goalkeeping
Vito DeBellis, a native of Yorktown Heights, New York, was equally impressive in the goal. He recorded 11 saves during the match, allowing only five goals over more than 56 minutes of play. This performance resulted in a commendable save percentage of .688, solidifying his role as an essential part of Siena’s defense.
The recognition of both players underscores the growing strength of the Siena men’s lacrosse program as they continue their season. Following their victory, the team is set to face the Air Force Falcons, who currently hold a 1-2 record, on Tuesday at 10 a.m. The match will take place at Afrim’s Sports Park in Colonie, New York.
