URGENT UPDATE: A new after-school art program, Art Lab Thursdays, is set to launch on January 29 in Fort Worth. This creative initiative provides a unique environment where children can explore various art materials and build confidence while creating at their own pace.
Each session, scheduled for Thursdays from 4:00 PM to 5:30 PM, begins with a brief guided introduction, allowing students to immerse themselves in open studio time. Participants will have the opportunity to paint, build, draw, sculpt, and experiment with different mediums, all while receiving support and encouragement from experienced instructors.
The program emphasizes the joy of making and the importance of creativity over comparison. Art activities include painting, mixed media, clay, sculpture, drawing, and more, catering to children aged 6 to 12.
Parents can register their children through flexible options: a $25 drop-in fee per session or a $95 monthly membership, which covers four Thursdays.
Led by Panther City Artists, a nonprofit organization committed to inclusive and process-based art education, this program aims to inspire young artists and promote self-expression in a supportive environment.
