Holiday Pop-Up Bar Launches at The Queen Baton Rouge with Festive Offerings

The Queen Baton Rouge has introduced its first holiday pop-up bar, providing guests with seasonal cocktails, complimentary sugar cookies, and a festive atmosphere. Located above the restaurant 1717 Kitchen + Cocktails, the pop-up bar runs from November 8 through Christmas Day, operating on Thursdays from 16:00 to 20:00 and Saturdays from 16:00 until closing.

The lounge, known as The Loft, boasts stunning views of the Mississippi River, enhancing the holiday experience for visitors. According to Brad Johnson, the food and beverage director at The Queen Baton Rouge, the aim was to highlight the venue’s beauty in a festive context. “We wanted to showcase this spot because a lot of the bars in the area do something big for Christmas,” Johnson remarked while wearing festive glasses shaped like Christmas trees.

The cocktail menu features unique offerings, including bourbon milk punch made with egg-free eggnog and a themed espresso martini flight inspired by the Three Wise Men, presenting flavors such as caramel, pumpkin spice, and hazelnut. “The milk punch with nutmeg on top just brings you into the holiday spirit,” said Lisa Tompkins, a representative of The Queen Baton Rouge.

Seasonal Dishes and Community Contributions

In addition to the enticing beverages, The Loft will also serve seasonal food options. Johnson mentioned that the menu includes traditional Thanksgiving dishes such as turkey, ham, dressing, macaroni and cheese, green beans, and sweet potato casserole.

Guests can find the entrance to The Loft just past the hostess stand of 1717 Kitchen + Cocktails. The comfortable lounge is designed to provide an elegant space for patrons to immerse themselves in the holiday spirit. As nights wind down, complimentary sugar cookies, made in-house, will be offered during last call.

The venue is also supporting the community by encouraging visitors to participate in the Toy for Tots drive. Attendees can bring new, unwrapped toys to The Players Club on the gaming floor until November 17. This initiative adds a charitable element to the holiday festivities.

For those seeking a private setting for celebrations, The Loft is available for bookings, accommodating groups of up to 40 people. Johnson noted, “It’s already decorated. Just come here for your food and drinks, and we’ll get you set up for your Christmas party.”
