BREAKING: Emma Jo Jones, a vibrant 29-year-old, has tragically passed away unexpectedly on November 12, 2025. Her sudden departure leaves a profound void in the lives of her family and friends, who remember her as a beacon of joy and spirit.
Emma was a cherished daughter of Rebecca Jones and the late Dennis Jones. She was not only a beloved sister to Molly Hawthorne, Ella, and Evan Jones, but also a treasured aunt and friend. Born a triplet, Emma’s bond with her siblings was exceptionally strong, making her loss even more devastating.
She graduated from Governor Mifflin High School in 2014, where she excelled as both a student and a dedicated lacrosse player. Emma’s passion for the sport propelled her to Lebanon Valley College, where she earned her degree in Biology in 2018. During her college years, she was honored with numerous accolades, including MVP and Outstanding Female Athlete in 2018. Lacrosse was more than just a game for Emma; it was a community where her determination and loyalty shone brightly.
Professionally, Emma made her mark as a lab technician in Berks County before moving to West Virginia, where she worked as a lab scientist at the time of her passing. Many fondly remember her from Zia Maria’s Restaurant in Adamstown, where she worked alongside her sister Molly, bringing laughter and energy to every shift.
Emma’s spirit was unmatched. Her ability to connect with those around her, coupled with her infectious sense of humor and generosity, made her a beloved figure in her community. Friends and family describe her as someone who made everyone feel valued and seen.
While the world feels dimmer without Emma, her legacy of warmth and love will continue to ripple through the lives she touched. She is survived by her mother, Rebecca, her significant other, Eric, her siblings, and her cherished nieces, along with her Aunt Bonnie, Uncle Bart, and “second father,” Seth Remp.
A memorial service to honor Emma’s life will be held on Saturday, November 22, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, located at 739 Penn Ave, West Reading, PA 19611. The family invites friends and relatives to join them from 12:00 noon until the time of the service.
