Chris Patullo has been appointed to an expanded role as the Director of Operations at American Crystal Sugar Company, a leading grower-owned cooperative and the largest beet sugar producer in the United States. This new position will see Patullo overseeing production and maintenance operations across multiple facilities located in Moorhead, Hillsboro, Crookston, East Grand Forks, and Drayton.
In his new capacity, Patullo will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient production of high-quality sugar and agricultural products. His role also entails maintaining compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements. Patullo plans to lead strategic initiatives aimed at enhancing process improvements, executing capital projects, and ultimately supporting the company’s long-term growth objectives.
Extensive Experience and Educational Background
Patullo brings over 22 years of experience with American Crystal. Before this new role, he served as Factory Manager at the Crookston, Hillsboro, and Drayton facilities. His career at the company began in 2003, during which he has held several key positions including Production Superintendent, Process Engineer, and Factory Engineer.
His academic credentials include a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from the University of Minnesota Duluth and a Master of Business Administration from the University of North Dakota. This educational foundation, combined with his extensive industry experience, positions Patullo as a strong leader capable of guiding the company as it navigates operational challenges and opportunities in the sugar production sector.
