A new documentary presents allegations that the late President George H.W. Bush had knowledge of extraterrestrial contact with humans. Titled “The Age of Disclosure,” the film, released on Amazon Prime on October 6, 2023, features interviews claiming that Bush discussed an incident involving aliens at a secretive air base in New Mexico in 1964.
Astrophysicist Eric Davis, who served as a scientific adviser for the now-defunct Advanced Aerospace Threat Identification Program, asserts in the documentary that Bush confided in him about an alien encounter during a private conversation. According to Davis, Bush revealed that a non-human entity had landed at Holloman Air Force Base in Otero County and interacted with military and intelligence personnel. “One of them landed on the tarmac and a non-human entity deboarded the craft that landed and interacted with uniformed Air Force and civilian CIA personnel,” Davis stated.
Davis noted that when Bush sought further details about the incident, he was informed he did not possess a “need-to-know.” He claims these discussions took place after Bush’s presidency, particularly in 2003, although no physical evidence has been presented to substantiate the claims made in the film.
Davis is not alone in making bold statements about extraterrestrial life. The film’s director, Dan Farah, interviewed 34 high-ranking officials from the U.S. government, military, and intelligence sectors, focusing on those who purportedly have direct knowledge of Unidentified Aerial Phenomena (UAPs). Despite the attention drawn to these claims, none of the officials provided new physical evidence supporting the existence of aliens or UAPs.
Davis further alleges in the documentary that alien bodies were recovered in Russia in 1988 from the wreckage of a large tic-tac-shaped UAP. Another contributor, Hal Puthoff, a former AATIP member and advocate for disclosure, suggested that multiple types of extraterrestrials exist. “The bodies recovered are not all the same type,” he mentioned, though he refrained from elaborating on these different entities. “Whoever it is — they’re here,” Puthoff asserted. “And they’ve been operating here for a long time.”
Understanding the Advanced Aerospace Threat Identification Program
The Advanced Aerospace Threat Identification Program was initiated by Congress in 2007, under the late Senator Harry Reid. This unclassified, yet discreetly operated program aimed to investigate unidentified flying objects (now referred to as Unidentified Aerial Phenomena). Officially running until 2012, the program functioned within the Defense Intelligence Agency with a budget of approximately $22 million over five years.
As discussions surrounding extraterrestrial life and UAPs continue to capture public interest, this documentary adds another layer to the ongoing debate about government transparency and the potential existence of life beyond Earth. While the claims made in “The Age of Disclosure” are intriguing, they highlight the persistent gap between anecdotal accounts and tangible evidence regarding unidentified phenomena in the skies.
