Sally J. Ifkovits, 62, of Northampton, Passes Away Surrounded by Family

BREAKING NEWS: Sally J. Ifkovits, aged 62, has tragically passed away on November 20, 2025, at Lehigh Valley Hospital in Allentown, Pennsylvania. Surrounded by her loving family, she spent her final moments in the Inpatient Hospice Unit, highlighting the profound impact she had on those around her.

Sally, a dedicated professional, devoted over 32 years to People First Federal Credit Union, where she rose from member services manager to card and ATM operations manager. Her commitment to her career and community was matched only by her love for her family, particularly her beloved grandson, Paxton, who was her greatest joy.

Born on January 27, 1963, in Allentown, Sally was the daughter of the late Fred H. and Marion J. (Siegfried) Rex. She is survived by her husband, Michael J. Ifkovits, with whom she shared 37 years of marriage, and their two sons, Riley (and wife, Kelly) and Alex (and wife, Anna). Sally’s legacy continues through her family, including brothers Keith and Kevin Rex, sister Susie Weber, and numerous nieces and nephews.

The community mourns her loss as services are set for Tuesday, December 2nd, with a visitation planned from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. at Reichel Funeral Home, 326 E. 21st St., Northampton. Following the visitation, a prayer service will commence at 11:00 a.m., and interment will take place at Fairview Cemetery in Northampton.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network or the Cancer Support Community of the Greater Lehigh Valley, honoring Sally’s fight against cancer.
