Ent Credit Union Opens Applications for 2026 YES Grants

Ent Credit Union, soon to be known as Wings Credit Union, has announced that applications are now open for its 2026 YES Grants, which aim to support nonprofits in Colorado that focus on children and youth. A total of $300,000 will be distributed to organizations dedicated to enhancing the wellbeing, safety, and development of young people across the state. Applications must be submitted by March 5, 2026, with winners set to be notified in May of the same year.

Since its inception in 2000, the Youth Endowment Series (YES) has awarded over $2.8 million to more than 300 nonprofits. This funding has facilitated various initiatives, including mentoring programs, mental health services, afterschool activities, food security initiatives, and outdoor experiences for children of all ages. In 2025 alone, the program provided critical support for programs focused on vulnerable children and teens, youth leadership, and family stability throughout Colorado.

Significance of YES Grants

“YES Grants are one of the most meaningful ways we invest in Colorado communities,” stated Annie Snead, the credit union’s vice president of community impact and executive director of the Wings Foundation. She emphasized that behind each grant lies a young person who found essential support at a pivotal moment in their life. Whether it involves a student becoming the first in their family to attend college or a family gaining stability after hardship, these grants create opportunities for youth to flourish.

The competitive application process in 2025 attracted over 300 submissions, with funding requests nearing $3 million. Ultimately, 116 Colorado nonprofits were awarded YES Grants totaling $300,000. Nonprofits that serve youth in Colorado are encouraged to apply at Ent.com/YESGrants. The website also provides information on eligibility and details about past grant recipients.

Application Process and Selection Criteria

Grant recipients are chosen by a panel of Ent Credit Union employees from various departments who carefully review applications to determine how the annual funding is allocated. The selection process is designed to ensure that the most impactful organizations are supported, reinforcing the credit union’s long-standing commitment to fostering positive change in the lives of young people across Colorado.

Through initiatives like the YES Grants, Ent Credit Union is dedicated to creating lasting impact in communities, nurturing the potential of the next generation. Applications for this year’s grants are now open, inviting organizations to apply for a chance to receive funding that can transform the lives of children and youth in Colorado.
