A private investigator has reportedly uncovered a controversial “burn cage” at a rental property previously occupied by singer D4vd. The discovery was made during an investigation initiated by the property owner. The investigator, Steve Fischer, detailed his findings in a post on X (formerly Twitter) on March 15, 2024.
Fischer claims that the burn cage is designed to reach temperatures of up to 1,600 degrees, surpassing the typical cremation temperature of approximately 1,400 degrees. In his post, he noted, “Although my words have been misquoted by some, what I actually said about certain items found at the Doheny address was that they were ‘items you would expect to find on a farm rather than in a home in the Hollywood Hills.’” He emphasized that the burn cage was still new and packaged, suggesting it had not been used prior to its discovery.
The investigator raised questions regarding the item’s purpose, stating, “Some will argue that this item was intended as a prop for a video. If that were the case, it raises several obvious questions. Why would a 55-pound burn cage be delivered to a private residence instead of directly to a prop designer or production house? Why would it be ordered before departing on an extended world tour? And why was it never used in any video production?” Fischer indicated that additional items related to the burn cage were also found at the location.
This revelation comes as authorities continue to investigate the death of Celeste Rivas, a teenager whose remains were discovered in the trunk of a Tesla owned by D4vd earlier this year. Following the incident, D4vd canceled the remainder of his tour. The Los Angeles Police Department has not yet issued a statement regarding the burn cage, and there have been no arrests made in connection with the case. Captain Scot Williams has clarified that Rivas’ body was not decapitated, countering circulating rumors.
As the investigation unfolds, the implications of Fischer’s findings and their relevance to the ongoing case remain to be seen. The examination of the burn cage and its intended use will likely play a significant role in the inquiry. D4vd has not been charged with any crimes related to the case, but the discovery raises numerous questions about the circumstances surrounding Rivas’ tragic death.
