Disneyland Welcomes Santa and Mickey for Festive Holiday Season

The Disneyland Resort is set to embrace the festive spirit as it welcomes Santa Claus and Mickey Mouse during the Christmas season. From November 14 to January 7, guests can enjoy a lineup of beloved holiday parades, fireworks, and live music across the theme parks and Disney hotels.

The holiday festivities kick off with the return of the Christmas Fantasy Parade and the stunning “Believe in Holiday Magic” fireworks show at Disneyland. Meanwhile, Disney California Adventure will feature the Viva Navidad Street Party and Disney’s Festival of the Holidays, bringing vibrant celebrations to life.

At Disneyland, classic attractions such as the Haunted Mansion and It’s a Small World will receive their holiday overlays, creating a festive atmosphere. Additionally, the Mater’s Junkyard Jamboree and Luigi’s Rollickin Roadsters in DCA will also be transformed for the season.

A highlight this year is the return of “The Story Time with Deadpool Holiday Special,” which will feature Santa Deadpool and his frenemy, Wolverine, entertaining guests while they wait in the Hyperion Theater queue area near Avengers Campus.

The resort will be adorned with holiday decorations, including a towering 60-foot-tall Christmas tree on Main Street U.S.A., as well as impressive gingerbread houses at all three Disney hotels and festive decor throughout the parks and Downtown Disney.

Dining options will also enhance the holiday spirit, with the Storytellers Cafe at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel introducing two new character dining experiences: Daisy’s Holiday Pajama Party for breakfast and brunch, and Mickey’s Christmas Carol Feast for dinner.

The Festival of the Holidays food festival at DCA returns with an exciting new menu. Guests can once again enjoy a six-item Sip and Savor Pass, which offers a selection of festive dishes.

Additionally, two popular holiday shows themed to Disney’s Coco and Encanto will make a comeback. “Mirabel’s Gifts of the Season” will bring characters and songs from the 2021 animated film to life, while “A Musical Christmas” featuring Miguel from Coco will delight guests with mariachi music on Buena Vista Street.

Disneyland’s Fantasyland Theatre will serve as a hub for craft-making, sing-alongs, and photo opportunities with characters in seasonal costumes. The Holiday Toy Drummers will also march along DCA’s parade route in “Mickey’s Happy Holidays,” adding a rhythmic touch to the celebrations.

Live music and nightly “snoap” snowfall will create a magical ambiance at the Downtown Disney Live stage. Families can engage in a treasure hunt with Chip and Dale’s Ornament Trail, where maps and stickers will be available for $12 at select shops. Completing the map entitles guests to a collectible holiday keepsake.

Mickey and Minnie will debut new shimmering red, green, and gold outfits during the holiday season, reflecting a festive twist on their 70th anniversary attire. For special dining events, the couple will don Victorian-era costumes for the Charles Dickens-inspired feast at the Storytellers Cafe, alongside Scrooge McDuck and a ghostly Goofy.

Santa will be a busy figure throughout the resort, making appearances at various locations, including Disneyland’s Fantasyland Theatre and DCA’s Redwood Creek Challenge Trail. Holiday carolers will also spread cheer at Disney’s three hotels.

The Broken Spell Lounge in the Disneyland Hotel will offer holiday-themed drink specials paired with live jazz music on select evenings.

As part of Disneyland’s ongoing 70th anniversary celebrations, the “World of Color Happiness” show will continue to enchant visitors at DCA’s Paradise Bay this holiday season, while the “Tapestry of Happiness” projection show will light up the facade of It’s a Small World.

With a blend of holiday magic and beloved Disney characters, the Disneyland Resort promises an unforgettable experience for visitors of all ages this Christmas season.
