The Thomasville Entertainment Foundation (TEF) will present “An Evening of Gilbert & Sullivan” on November 10, 2025, at the Thomasville Center for the Arts. The event, part of TEF’s 88th performance season, will feature a mix of classic operetta performances and audience engagement, starting at 19:30.
This captivating evening includes a one-act abridged version of the beloved operetta “The Pirates of Penzance,” followed by a cabaret-style showcase of other Gilbert & Sullivan favorites, such as “HMS Pinafore” and “The Mikado.” Audience members will also have the opportunity to request songs during the performance, creating an interactive atmosphere.
Ginny LeGette, TEF’s Vice President for Box Office, highlighted the strong ticket sales for this event. “Due to high demand and limited availability, online ticket sales have been suspended,” she noted. Interested attendees are encouraged to contact TEF at +1 229-226-7404 for remaining tickets.
The New York Gilbert & Sullivan Players (NYGASP), America’s leading professional Gilbert & Sullivan repertory ensemble, will perform at this event. Celebrating over 50 years of performances, NYGASP has delivered more than 3,000 shows across the United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom, enchanting audiences of all ages with their unique interpretations of these classic works.
This concert-based program is specially designed for NYGASP’s talented sextet of stars, offering a delightful experience for both longtime fans and newcomers to Gilbert & Sullivan’s whimsical world. The event promises to be a memorable night filled with laughter, music, and a celebration of theatrical history.
