HealthSpring has announced its new Medicare Advantage plans aimed at supporting seniors in Houston during the upcoming Medicare Annual Election Period. The plans, which will be available for coverage starting on January 1, 2026, feature significant benefits designed to improve both health outcomes and financial security for members.
Tiffany Frink, a representative from HealthSpring, highlighted the key features of the plans in a recent discussion with Houston Life’s Derrick Shore. Among the prominent offerings is a Part B premium giveback of up to $185 per month, potentially saving members as much as $2,220 annually. This feature is particularly beneficial as many seniors currently pay approximately $185 monthly for their Part B premiums.
In addition to the premium giveback, HealthSpring’s plans include a variety of services with low or zero copays. Members can expect $0 copays for primary care visits and numerous prescription drugs, alongside access to essential services such as dental, vision, and fitness programs. The plans also provide up to $200 in rewards for engaging in healthy activities, further incentivizing wellness among members.
Frink addressed a prevalent misconception regarding Medicare Advantage plans, emphasizing that veterans do not lose their earned military benefits, such as VA coverage or TRICARE for Life, upon enrollment. Instead, these plans can enhance access to additional healthcare providers and services not covered by VA benefits, thereby offering greater flexibility and potential cost savings for veterans.
The Annual Election Period is a crucial time for seniors to evaluate their healthcare options, including Original Medicare, Medicare Advantage, Medigap, and prescription drug plans. HealthSpring encourages seniors to take this opportunity to review their current plans and consider potential changes. This evaluation can help avoid unexpected costs and ensure that the chosen coverage aligns with individual health needs.
To assist in the decision-making process, HealthSpring has licensed agents available to provide guidance. Seniors can reach out at 855-552-0666 or visit the HealthSpring website for more information about their Medicare Advantage offerings.
As the Medicare Annual Election Period approaches, HealthSpring aims to empower Houston seniors with the knowledge and resources they need to make informed decisions about their healthcare coverage. The commitment to enhancing the health and wellness of its members remains a top priority for the organization.
