Beloved St. Paul Resident Patricia Lois Tiller Passes Away at 101

Patricia Lois Tiller, a cherished resident of St. Paul, Minnesota, passed away peacefully on December 6, 2025, at the age of 101. Born on October 29, 1924, in Princeton, Minnesota, Patricia, known affectionately as Pat, led a life filled with diverse experiences and passions.

Throughout her career, Pat held a variety of roles, demonstrating her versatility and dedication. She served as a Nurse’s Aide, worked as a Bank Teller, and took on the responsibilities of a Keypunch Operator. Her career also included a notable position as a Civil Servant for the U.S. Army in Germany, where she held a Top Secret Clearance. These roles showcased her commitment to service and community.

Adventurous Spirit and Community Engagement

Pat was not only dedicated to her professional life but also embraced adventure and cultural experiences. Her travels included visits to Russia, Iceland, and the Panama Canal, reflecting her love for exploration. She participated in numerous Elder Hostel retreats, now known as Road Scholar, and enjoyed time-share vacations with friends.

In addition to her travels, Pat engaged actively in various community clubs. She was a member of the Red Hot Peppers (Red Hats), the Swiss Society, and both the Minneapolis and St. Paul Hiking Clubs. Her enthusiasm extended to activities such as golf, bowling, bridge, and square dancing. Pat also showcased her musical talent, playing the harmonica and accordion.

Pat’s love for life included a fondness for animals, particularly cats and dogs, and she enjoyed activities such as visiting the casino, watching live horse racing, and participating in game shows like Wheel of Fortune. Her vibrant personality and zest for life left a lasting impact on those who knew her.

Family and Legacy

Pat is preceded in death by her parents, Nathanel and Hulda, her second child, Kenneth Vrioni Jr., and her brothers Glen, Russell, and Lawrence. She is survived by her four children, Raymond, Wayne, Barbara, and Paul, as well as her grandson, Nevar, and several nieces and nephews.

Her family will hold a memorial service on December 22, 2025, at Immanuel Lutheran Church, located at 104 South Snelling Avenue, St. Paul. Visitation will begin at 10:00, followed by a worship service at 11:00 and a luncheon at 12:00. Pat will be laid to rest at Minneola Lutheran Church, situated at 13638 County 50 Boulevard, Goodhue, Minnesota.

Patricia Lois Tiller’s legacy is one of love, adventure, and community engagement. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends, who remember her as a vibrant and caring individual.
