Gail K. Wold, aged 87, of West St. Paul, passed away, leaving behind a legacy marked by unwavering faith, deep family ties, and a passion for music and animals. She is survived by her children, Janelle Rau and Kevin Wold, along with her grandchildren, Aaron, Emily, Griffin, and Shiloh, as well as her great-grandchildren, Andrew and Daniel. Her family also includes brother-in-law Paul Wold and several nieces and nephews.
Gail’s life was deeply intertwined with her community and her faith. She dedicated over 70 years as a church musician, and for more than 50 years, she directed the children’s choir at King of Kings Lutheran Church. Additionally, her commitment to volunteerism was evident through her 45 years of service at the Minnesota Zoo.
Born to Gil and Ellen, Gail was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Howie Wold. She graduated from Park High School in 1956, where her lifelong journey in music began. Her family and friends remember her as a person who filled every space with joy and melody.
The visitation for Gail K. Wold will take place on December 19, 2023, from 16:00 to 19:00. A funeral service will follow on December 20, 2023, starting at 11:00, with an additional visitation at 10:00. Both events will be held at King of Kings Lutheran Church, located at 1583 Radio Drive, Woodbury. A luncheon will follow the service as family and friends gather to celebrate her life.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations to honor Gail’s memory and her lifelong contributions to her community and loved ones. Her remarkable dedication to faith, family, and service leaves a lasting impact on all who knew her.
