Robert G. “Bob” Johnson, aged 82, passed away peacefully on November 20, 2025, in Little Canada, Minnesota. He is remembered as a devoted husband, father, and community volunteer, leaving behind a legacy of service and love. Bob is survived by his wife of 63 years, Linda Johnson, and their three sons, Todd (Beth), Troy (Lonnie), and Derek (Tracy). He is also survived by his brother Charles (Chuck), grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Growing up on the East Side of St. Paul, Bob was known for his passion for sports, particularly hockey. He played for Johnson High School, where his dedication to the game began. Throughout his life, he maintained a deep connection to hockey, enjoying countless hours watching his children and grandchildren play. Bob also cherished his time on the golf course, where he created lasting memories with family and friends.
In addition to his love for sports, Bob dedicated over 20 years to the Little Canada Fire Department. During his time there, he held various service positions, showcasing his commitment to community safety and support. His impact on the department and the town will be felt for years to come.
A celebration of Bob’s life is scheduled for December 27, 2025, from 14:00 to 17:00 at the Little Canada Fire Department. A short program will take place at 15:30, allowing family, friends, and community members to come together to honor his memory and share their stories.
Bob’s contributions to his family and community reflect a life well-lived, characterized by love, service, and a passion for sports. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
