Jerome F. Bartel, a resident of Inver Grove Heights, passed away on December 31, 2025, at the age of 91. Bartel is remembered for his deep commitment to family, leaving behind his loving wife of 68 years, Judith “Judy” Bartel, along with their children, Susan (married to Edward Carroll) and David Bartel. He is also survived by his grandson, Paxton Carroll, and brother-in-law, Ted Horner (married to Mary Ann), along with numerous other family members and friends.
Memorial Service Details and Community Impact
A memorial service will be held at Klecatsky & Sons West Chapel, located at 1051 South Robert Street in West St. Paul, on January 10, 2026, at 11:00 AM. Family and friends are invited to gather two hours prior to the service to celebrate his life and legacy. Following the service, a private entombment will take place at Riverview Cemetery in St. Paul.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be directed to the Union Gospel Mission in St. Paul, an organization dedicated to serving those in need in the community. The family extends their gratitude to the staff at Inver Glen Senior Living and St. Croix Hospice for their compassionate care during this difficult time.
Throughout his life, Bartel was known for his warmth and generosity, leaving a lasting impression on all who knew him. His dedication to his family and community will be sorely missed.
