Members of the Prairie Rose 4-H club celebrated their achievements during an Achievement Banquet held on November 10, 2023, at the cafeteria of Iola High School. The event, which was sponsored by Emprise Bank, recognized the hard work and dedication of the club’s members throughout the year.
During the banquet, several awards were presented to members for their exemplary contributions. Kason Botts received the award for the Top Secretary’s book, while Kylar Botts was honored with the Top Historian’s book. Lucas Owens took home the award for the Top Reporter’s book. The club also earned a Purple seal, reflecting their overall achievements and commitment to excellence.
Community Engagement and Contributions
In addition to the awards ceremony, Prairie Rose 4-H hosted a Bring-A-Friend Game Night as part of their monthly meeting. This event encouraged camaraderie among members and provided an opportunity for them to share their experiences with friends and family.
As part of their community service efforts, Prairie Rose 4-H members collected canned food items for the Moran Food Pantry. This initiative exemplified the club’s commitment to giving back to the community. Participating members included: Hudson Gabbert, Harper Gabbert, Colt Dudley, Edward Meiwes, Wade Meiwes, and Henry Gabbert in the front row. The second row featured Molly Chenowith, Andrew Chenowith, Declan Chenowith, Lucas Owens, Brynleigh Borth, Sophia Heim, Kylar Botts, Kason Botts, and Doug Dix.
The achievements celebrated during the banquet highlight the dedication of Prairie Rose 4-H members not only to their individual projects but also to their community engagement. The club continues to foster personal growth, leadership skills, and a sense of responsibility among its members.
