Slice House, the fast-casual pizza concept founded by 13-time World Pizza Champion Tony Gemignani, is set to open a new location in Fremont, California. The restaurant will occupy the former Dog Haus space at 43456 Boscell Road in the Pacific Commons Shopping Center. According to a recent liquor license application, the new venue is anticipated to begin operations in the coming months.
The Fremont location will be managed by Hersh Mahavni and Pritika Rajasanshi, both of whom have strong ties to the area and a long-standing relationship with Gemignani. They previously prepared to launch a Slice House on California Street in San Francisco, showcasing their commitment to bringing this popular pizza brand closer to their hometown.
Signature Menu and Expansion Plans
At Slice House, customers can look forward to an extensive menu that includes a variety of pizza styles such as New York, Sicilian, Grandma, and Detroit-style pizzas. These options will be available by the slice or as whole pies. The menu also features fresh pastas, wings, salads, and vegetarian selections, appealing to a wide range of tastes.
Founded in 2010 in San Francisco’s North Beach neighborhood, Slice House has expanded significantly and currently boasts over 135 locations across states including California, Nevada, Arizona, and Texas. In the Bay Area, existing locations are found in Belmont, Mountain View, Walnut Creek, San Leandro, Castro Valley, and Milpitas.
The Fremont location will maintain the same offerings as other Slice House establishments, including gluten-free and vegetarian options, providing flexibility for both casual diners and larger groups looking to enjoy a meal together.
Future Developments and Community Engagement
In addition to the Fremont site, Slice House is preparing to open another location in Livermore on February 21, 2026. This new pizzeria, located at 1948 1st Street, aims to enhance Gemignani’s celebrated pizza styles in the Tri-Valley area. The opening day will feature special events starting at 11 a.m., including an appearance by Gemignani himself, a hat giveaway for the first 50 guests, and a raffle for a chance to win free pizza for one year.
“The East Bay is where it all started for me, so bringing Slice House to Livermore and expanding our footprint feels particularly special,” said Founder Tony Gemignani. “We’re grateful for our continued partnership with Ratika Tyagi and for her leadership in making this possible. I’m looking forward to sharing our craft and passion for quality pizza with the Livermore community so soon.”
With the new Fremont location, Slice House continues to solidify its presence in the competitive pizza market, providing a taste of award-winning pizza styles while connecting with local communities.
