Additionally, he boasts a three-point shooting percentage of 36.1% and an impressive 87.7% from the free-throw line. Should he not sign an extension, he will enter unrestricted free agency in the 2027 offseason.
While DeRozan’s scoring ability would undoubtedly elevate the Clippers’ offensive capabilities, the team must also consider the broader implications of adding another veteran. Bringing in a player with defensive limitations could exacerbate existing issues related to the team’s aging roster.
