15-Year-Old Arrested as Prime Suspect in Armed Robbery

UPDATE: A 15-year-old boy from Fargo has been arrested as the prime suspect in an armed robbery that occurred early Saturday morning at Dale’s Interstate Standard in Grand Forks. The arrest took place on Sunday afternoon in East Grand Forks, following a swift investigation by local authorities.

Grand Forks Police, with the assistance of East Grand Forks Police and Polk County authorities, apprehended the suspect at a motel after an intensive day and a half of inquiries. Police report that the youth has been residing in the Grand Forks area for some time and is believed to have committed the robbery around 5 a.m. on Saturday.

During the robbery, the suspect allegedly pointed a small caliber pistol at the gas station attendant, demanding cash. Reports indicate that he made off with approximately $390 before forcing the attendant to lie on the floor. As of now, neither the stolen money nor the weapon used in the crime has been recovered.

Authorities have confirmed that the youth is being held at the Polk County Jail in Crookston, Minnesota, pending further questioning by Grand Forks officials. Police are actively investigating the case and are urging anyone with information to come forward.
