UPDATE: Renowned local restaurateur, Antonino “Tony” Morici, Sr., has passed away at the age of 78. He died on December 10, 2025, at his home in Palmer Township, PA, surrounded by his beloved family.
Morici, the owner of the celebrated Morici’s Restaurant on College Hill in Easton, was a cherished figure in the community. Known for his delicious Italian cuisine and warm hospitality, Tony was more than a restaurateur; he was a pillar of the community and a devout member of St. Jane Frances de Chantal Catholic Church.
Born on August 23, 1947, in Santo Stefano di Camastra, Sicily, Morici immigrated to the United States and devoted his life to his family and his culinary passions. He shared his love of food and family through his restaurant and treasured moments spent with his children and grandchildren.
Tony is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Maria (Galati) Morici, their three sons: Frank, Santo, and Anthony “Nino,” and numerous grandchildren. The family has expressed immense gratitude for the outpouring of love and support they have received from the community during this difficult time.
Calling hours are set for Wednesday, December 17, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Morello Funeral Home, Inc., located at 3720 Nicholas Street, Easton, PA. An additional hour for remembrance will occur on Thursday, December 18, 2025, from 8:45 AM to 9:45 AM at the funeral home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated the same day at 10:30 AM at the church.
Interment will follow at St. Anthony’s Cemetery, located at 520 Cedarville Road, Easton, PA. Friends and family are encouraged to join in celebrating Tony’s life and legacy.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made in Tony’s name to the Saint Padre Pio Shrine, located at 111 Barto Road, Barto, PA 19504.
