Authorities confirm that the woman was armed and brandished a handgun, which raised alarms among local residents. The standoff escalated when she fled from law enforcement, crashing into a patrol vehicle before veering off the road into a ditch. The Summit County Sheriff’s Office reported that she faced multiple preliminary charges, including felony menacing, felony trespass, and driving under the influence.
The incident began when a resident of the gated community alerted authorities about the woman loading a magazine of a handgun while making shooting gestures towards a nearby home.
