Charlotte M. Seim, Beloved Community Member, Dies at 89

URGENT UPDATE: Charlotte M. Seim, a cherished member of the Guilderland community, has passed away at the age of 89. She died on November 11, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of love and laughter.

Born on February 26, 1936, Charlotte was the daughter of the late Clyde and Jennie Woodard. Known for her vibrant personality and sense of humor, she dedicated her life to her family and friends.

Charlotte had a significant career at Travelers Insurance Company, where she met her late husband, William R. Seim. Her passions included walking—often for shopping or visiting craft fairs—and she was a familiar face in her community, particularly at the Baptist Health facility.

She is survived by her children: Donna (Ronald) Healt, William (Debra) Eggleston III, Richard (Cheryl) Eggleston, Michael (Rose) Eggleston, and Guy (Susan Jacobson) Eggleston. Charlotte also leaves behind eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren, along with several nieces and nephews.

In a heartfelt statement, the family expressed their gratitude to the staff at Baptist Health and Community Hospice, particularly Brittany and her team, for their exceptional care during Charlotte’s final days.

Charlotte is predeceased by her first husband, William Eggleston Jr., her grandson Ryan Healt, and her siblings, including four sisters and one brother. Her absence will be deeply felt by all who knew her.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 19, 2025, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, located at 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie NY 12205. A Funeral Service will take place on Thursday, November 20, beginning at 11 a.m., following a 10 a.m. return to the funeral home. Interment will follow at Prospect Hill Cemetery in Guilderland.

Charlotte M. Seim will be remembered for her vibrant spirit and the love she brought to her family and community. Her legacy lives on through the countless lives she touched.
