Chris Langlee, 64, Remembered: Celebration of Life This Sunday

BREAKING: The Duluth community mourns the passing of Chris (Langer) Langlee, who died peacefully on October 20, 2025, surrounded by family at the age of 64. A beloved figure in the area, Chris’s life will be celebrated this coming Sunday, October 26, at 1:00 PM at the Cremation Society of Minnesota, located at 4100 Grand Ave, Duluth, MN.

Chris Langlee, a proud veteran, served in the Air National Guard for 20 years before retiring as a Master Sergeant in 2005. His career continued in various roles, including as the Credit and Collections Administrator for the City of Duluth.

Born on August 23, 1961, Chris developed a passion for sports early on, playing varsity baseball for the Denfeld Hunters and later competing in softball leagues. Known for his exceptional skills, he earned a reputation as a formidable player. He was also an avid golfer, spending summers at Nemadji Golf Course and cheering for the Minnesota Vikings and Wild.

Chris was a loving husband to Patrice (Johnson) Langlee, whom he married on June 21, 2019. Together, they raised a blended family filled with love and laughter. Chris is remembered not only for his humor and culinary skills but also for his deep commitment to family and friends.

Chris is survived by his wife Patrice, children Becky Orlowski, Chase Mallett, Jory Johnson, and Holly Johnson, as well as his granddaughter Kyla Johnson and siblings. He leaves behind a legacy of joy and connection, deeply cherished by his family and the Duluth community.

A visitation will precede the celebration of life, starting at 1:00 PM on October 26, with a ceremony at 2:00 PM followed by a reception. The family expresses gratitude to Essentia’s critical care team for their dedicated support during this challenging time.
