URGENT UPDATE: Free Thanksgiving meals are being served across Boulder County today, November 23, 2023, providing essential support to local residents and families during the holiday. Multiple organizations are coming together to ensure that everyone can enjoy a festive meal.
OUR Center in Longmont will serve its annual Thanksgiving lunch from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at 220 Collyer St.. Community members are encouraged to come out and enjoy a hearty meal prepared for the occasion.
In Boulder, Second Baptist Church is hosting traditional Thanksgiving meals at two locations. The first meal will be served at 8:30 a.m. at 1212 Canyon Blvd., followed by a second serving at 9 a.m. at 5300 Baseline Road. Guests experiencing homelessness can also access clothing and essential supplies at both venues.
At the Unity of Boulder Spiritual Center, located at 2855 Folsom St., a community potluck dinner is taking place from noon to 4 p.m.. Attendees are invited to bring a dish to share, fostering a sense of community and togetherness during this special time.
In Louisville, hot beverages will be available following the Louisville Turkey Trot, which kicks off at 9 a.m. near Walnut and Front streets. This event benefits Community Food Share, encouraging participants to contribute while enjoying a festive run.
