George Milton Rex, Jr., 80, Passes Away in New Tripoli

UPDATE: George Milton Rex, Jr., aged 80, has passed away on November 19, 2025, at Lehigh Valley Hospital – Cedar Crest in New Tripoli, Pennsylvania. His death marks a significant loss for the community and his beloved family.

Rex, who was married to Carol A. Rex for over 60 years, was well-known for his vibrant spirit and dedication to family. Born on July 10, 1945, in Germansville, George was the son of the late George Milton Rex, Sr. and Joyce E. (Mann) Rex. He worked as a foreman at the Bethlehem Steel Coke Works from 1965 to 1998, contributing significantly to the local industry.

George was a cherished member of Ebenezer Church in New Tripoli, where he was actively involved in community activities. His passion for fishing, hunting, and sports made him a beloved figure among friends and family. Known as the ultimate host, he brought joy during holidays and celebrations, leaving a lasting impression on everyone who knew him.

his family shared, highlighting the profound impact he had on their lives and the community at large.

He is survived by his wife, Carol, and their children: Bryan K. Rex (Tina) of Allentown, Pamela L. (Rex) Wolf (Randy) of Fleetwood, and Jennifer A. (Rex) Roberts (Jason) of Schnecksville. His legacy continues through his grandchildren: Nathaniel and Zachary, Madison, Autumn, Savannah, Victoria, Jacob, and Joshua. He is also survived by sisters Nancy Rauch of New Tripoli and Melinda Uhl of Allentown, along with numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister, Carol Snyder, and brothers-in-law, David Rauch, Sr. and Bruce Uhl.

The funeral service is scheduled for 2:00 PM on Saturday, November 22, 2025, at the Heintzelman Funeral Home, Inc., located at 4906 Route 309, Schnecksville. Pastor Kevin W. Dellicker will officiate the ceremony. Family and friends are invited to pay their respects from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM prior to the service.
