The Panthers, now boasting a record of 9-4, surged ahead in the fourth quarter, outscoring Holy Cross 26-21 in the final period.
Cummings’ standout performance was complemented by Lyric Steward, who contributed 14 points, while Bree Sunkett and Ifebuche Nnebe each added 11 points to seal the win. Holy Cross Prep, currently sitting at 7-10, was led by Callie Fox with 19 points, including four three-pointers. Mary Kate Yansick also made an impact, recording a double-double with 14 points and 8 rebounds.
The game’s momentum shifted in the second quarter when Westampton Tech dominated, outscoring Holy Cross 17-7 to take a commanding 27-17 lead at halftime. Despite Holy Cross’s attempt to rally in the third quarter, winning that period 17-12, they could not keep pace with the Panthers’ explosive fourth quarter.
Laura Sherlock also made her presence known for Holy Cross with 9 points, 4 rebounds, 3 assists, and a game-high 3 steals. Gina DiGiovanni provided key support with 5 assists despite the loss.
