UPDATE: JetBlue has just announced the opening of its inaugural BlueHouse airport lounge, set to welcome travelers on December 18, 2025, at New York City’s John F. Kennedy International Airport, specifically in Terminal 5. This significant launch marks a pivotal shift for JetBlue as it strives to elevate its brand into a premium airline, distinguishing itself from budget carriers like Frontier, Spirit, and Southwest.
JetBlue President Marty St. George emphasized the lounge’s importance, stating, “BlueHouse has been years in the making… It has been a huge passion project.” The lounge is designed to reflect a uniquely JetBlue experience, blending premium attributes with an authentic New York flair.
Spanning 9,000 square feet over two stories, BlueHouse features an inviting atmosphere adorned with curated local art and Art Deco design elements. Guests will enjoy gourmet offerings from Joe Coffee, The Greats of Craft, and Please Don’t Tell, alongside a menu inspired by New York’s culinary scene, including classic bacon, egg, and cheese sandwiches and pastrami on rye.
The lounge prioritizes guest comfort and productivity, providing high-speed Wi-Fi, power outlets, and cozy seating areas. A dedicated game room offers entertainment with JetBlue-branded cards, chess, and children’s toys, ensuring a family-friendly environment. Access is exclusive to Mosaic members, JetBlue Premier Cardholders, and transatlantic Mint customers, with specific guest allowances based on entry type.
In addition to BlueHouse, JetBlue is enhancing the overall travel experience at JFK through extensive renovations, which include the addition of 40 new retailers and amenities in Terminal 5. The airline is also rolling out upgraded first-class cabins for domestic flights, commencing in 2026.
The excitement doesn’t stop at JFK. JetBlue plans to expand this premium lounge concept further, with the next BlueHouse location slated to open at Boston Logan International Airport (BOS) in 2026.
As JetBlue aims to become the East Coast’s leading leisure airline, the BlueHouse lounge is a crucial element of their JetForward strategy, promising a new standard in customer-first travel experiences. Travelers and aviation enthusiasts alike are eagerly anticipating this transformative step in air travel.
Stay tuned for more updates as JetBlue continues to redefine the airline experience.
