Moscow’s Iconic Broiler Restaurant Set for January 9 Reopening

UPDATE: The beloved Broiler restaurant in Moscow is making an eagerly awaited return! Scheduled to reopen on January 9, 2024, the restaurant is set to revive a dining tradition that thrived from 1970 to 2014. Located within the Best Western Plus University Inn, this iconic eatery promises a fresh take on its classic offerings.

Kris Raasch, the restaurant manager, expressed enthusiasm about the reopening, stating, “When it did close, it was a big loss.” The Broiler aims to restore its status as a “big staple” in the community, drawing in both loyal patrons and new guests eager for a taste of its renowned menu.

Guests can expect a dynamic dining experience, with a rotating menu featuring exquisite dishes, including fish and steaks sourced from the Pacific Northwest. Each item will be served in an a la carte style, encouraging a shared dining atmosphere that fosters connection and enjoyment among diners.

The Broiler will operate from 5-9 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays, welcoming locals and visitors alike to indulge in its culinary offerings. To kick off its return, the restaurant is hosting a highly anticipated New Year’s Eve dinner today, which has already sold out, highlighting the community’s excitement for its revival.

Prior to its closure in 2014, the Best Western was home to three dining establishments: The Pantry, The Broiler, and Seasons. Following renovations, The Pantry and The Broiler were transformed into meeting rooms and breakfast areas, leaving a notable void in the local dining scene.

As Moscow prepares for the return of The Broiler, the reopening represents more than just the revival of a restaurant; it symbolizes a return to cherished community gatherings and shared meals that have been missed for nearly a decade.

Stay tuned for more updates as The Broiler approaches its grand reopening, and prepare to savor the taste of nostalgia with a modern twist. This is a significant moment for Moscow’s dining landscape and an opportunity for residents to reconnect over great food and hospitality.
