BREAKING: A 34-year-old San Jose woman has been arrested on suspicion of murder following a deadly hit-and-run incident that occurred just before 7:30 p.m. on November 26, 2023. Police confirm that the collision was intentional, marking a grim milestone as the city records its 24th homicide of the year.
The incident took place at the intersection of Winchester Boulevard and Tisch Way in San Jose, where officers discovered a woman lying in the roadway. Medical responders rushed the victim to a hospital, but she was pronounced dead shortly afterward. The Santa Clara County Medical Examiner-Coroner’s Office is set to release her identity once her family is notified.
According to San Jose police Sgt. Jorge Garibay, preliminary investigations suggest that the collision was an “intentional act.” However, authorities are still probing the motive and circumstances surrounding the incident.
The suspect, identified as Yanette Beas Solorio, was apprehended approximately two miles from the scene in Santa Clara. Following her arrest, she was booked into the Santa Clara County Jail, where she is being held without bail.
