UPDATE: The 19th annual Coaches Choice USA Staten Island vs. New Jersey Challenge is set to ignite local basketball fans this Sunday at Moore Catholic in Graniteville. The event promises to deliver an exciting lineup of five games, showcasing top high school talent from both regions.

Basketball enthusiasts won’t want to miss the spotlight on the second game, featuring Staten Island Academy going head-to-head with Bound Brook. This matchup is particularly captivating as it showcases two head coaches who are both former Jaques Award winners. Sandy Litkenhaus, a 1986-87 Jaques Award recipient, is coaching SIA for the first time. Meanwhile, Jen Derenjanik, one of only two three-time Jaques winners between 1998-2000, is in her twelfth season with Bound Brook, intensifying the competition.

The action kicks off at 11:00 a.m. with a face-off between Tottenville and Spotswood. Following that, the much-anticipated SIA vs. Bound Brook game takes place at 12:30 p.m.. The full schedule for the day includes:
