Steven J. Blumenthal, 63, Passes Away in New Britain, CT

BREAKING: Steven J. Blumenthal, aged 63, has passed away peacefully in his home in New Britain, CT, on December 22, 2025. Known for his vibrant personality and deep love for his family, Steven’s untimely death has sent shockwaves through his community.

Born on June 4, 1962, in Hartford, CT, Steven was the cherished son of the late Alfred “Apples” and Marcia Blumenthal (Budkofsky). A lifelong resident of New Britain for over three decades, he was an avid fan of the New York Yankees and the Washington Redskins, and he harbored a passion for motorcycles that defined much of his life.

Steven’s bond with his mother, Marcia, was especially profound and remained a cornerstone of his identity. His passing leaves a significant void among family and friends, who remember him for his warmth and humor.

He is survived by his fiancée, Catherine Falleti; his brother, Eric Blumenthal, and his wife, Olga; along with sisters-in-law Laurie and Kimberly Blumenthal. Steven is also remembered by his nieces and nephews—Alfred (wife Jessica), Joshua (wife Alyssa), Ashley, Aaron, Leah, and Anthony Blumenthal—as well as his great-niece Ellery and great-nephews Lawson and Harrison Blumenthal.

Steven was predeceased by his brothers, Mark and Sol Blumenthal, whose memories will also be honored during the services.

A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, January 2, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at the Piaterer Verein Society Cemetery on Jordan Lane Extension in Wethersfield, CT. Friends and family are encouraged to attend and celebrate Steven’s life.
