URGENT UPDATE: Two men were brutally slashed in a violent attack by knife-wielding assailants in Queens early this morning. The incident occurred just after 4:08 a.m. on December 7, at the intersection of Barnett Avenue and 48th Street in Sunnyside, according to police sources.
Authorities report that the victims, aged 27 and 25, were attempting to retrieve a two-wheeled device when they were ambushed. The older man sustained a serious slash wound to the face, while the younger man suffered a slash to the neck. Emergency Medical Services rushed the 27-year-old to Elmhurst Hospital, where he is currently listed in stable condition. The 25-year-old declined medical assistance at the scene.
Police have confirmed a knife was recovered at the location, as officers from the 108th Precinct responded to a 911 call reporting the attack. As of now, no arrests have been made, and the investigation is ongoing. Authorities are actively searching for two suspects but have yet to provide detailed descriptions.
