Uniontown Veterans Day Parade Set for Nov. 11, Urgent Details Inside

URGENT UPDATE: The annual Veterans Day Parade in Uniontown is confirmed for Tuesday, November 11 at 11 a.m., with participants gathering in downtown Uniontown to honor those who served. This year’s event, hosted by the American Legion LaFayette Post 51, promises a heartfelt tribute that the community won’t want to miss.

Marchers will start lining up at 9 a.m. on East Church Street, specifically between Marshall Park and Marshall Manor. Participants include marching bands and Junior ROTC members, who will be dropped off at the parking lot of St. John the Evangelist Church located at 50 Jefferson St.

The parade route will make a significant pause at Storey Square at exactly 11:11 a.m., when the solemn call of taps will echo through the streets. Fire and rescue vehicles will stage on Iowa Street, while all other organizations should line up in three lanes on East Church Street or East South Street.

For veterans wishing to join the march, a meeting point is set at Marshall Park. Note that no all-terrain vehicles or side-by-sides are allowed without prior approval from the Uniontown Police Department, and horses are strictly prohibited. Additionally, participants are reminded that political messaging is not permitted during the parade.

Following the parade, attendees are invited to gather for socializing at the Legion, located at 508 E. Main St. in Uniontown. This gathering is a perfect opportunity to connect and reflect on the sacrifices made by veterans.
