Urgent: Bus Carrying 50 Students Rolls Over in Missouri

URGENT UPDATE: A tour bus carrying approximately 50 high school students to the National Future Farmers of America (FFA) Convention has rolled over in Laclede County, Missouri, just hours ago. The incident occurred on Wednesday around 11:00 AM local time on Highway A near Phillipsburg, about 40 miles outside of Springfield, according to the Missouri Highway Patrol.

Authorities report that the bus, transporting students from Bolivar, Fair Play, and Dadeville schools, lost control due to heavy rain and slid off a curvy road, ultimately rolling onto its side. Corporal Ralicia Tyler of the highway patrol confirmed that 10 students sustained minor injuries and have been transported for medical attention.

The remaining students have been taken to Conway High School for shelter and immediate reunification with their families. Both the Bolivar Schools and Fair Play School District are coordinating efforts to bring the students safely back home.

The students were en route to the National FFA Convention in Indianapolis, which kicked off earlier today. This unexpected incident has raised concerns among parents and the community, as families await news of their loved ones’ safety.
