URGENT UPDATE: A consumer investigation into Noble Moving and Storage reveals alarming allegations of fraud, as more customers report massive price hikes on moving day. Over the summer, police contacted Nina Pineda from 7 On Your Side to raise awareness about the company’s questionable practices. Following her report, complaints surged from customers nationwide, alleging they were pressured into paying thousands more than their original estimates.
Authorities are taking these claims seriously. In August, Fairfield Police confirmed they are investigating Noble Moving after receiving multiple complaints about sudden price increases. According to police spokesperson Stacy Chiarolanza, “The pattern is what makes it become criminal and allows us to get involved.”
Customers from across the country have come forward, sharing their experiences with Noble Moving. One victim, Melissa from Brooklyn, reported that her initial quote skyrocketed to $21,000 on moving day, calling the situation “straight-up extortion.” Another customer, Nate Wheatley, revealed, “They got me for about $8,000.”
The investigation intensified after a source disclosed that Farah Al-Ibrahim, who previously pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit wire fraud in 2019, is allegedly involved in the new scheme. A whistleblower described her as “the ringleader,” managing operations at Noble Moving and Storage while employing tactics similar to those that led to her previous conviction.
Despite attempts to reach Al-Ibrahim for comments, she avoided direct questions from Pineda, asserting, “I’m not even in moving anymore.” However, 7 On Your Side obtained evidence that suggests she still plays a significant role in the business, as a corporate filing signed by her identifies Noble Moving and Storage under her name.
The Department of Transportation has confirmed it is aware of the allegations and is conducting its own investigation into the company’s practices, particularly those involving “deliberately providing a ‘low-ball’ estimate to lure customers.”
As this story develops, experts advise potential customers to be vigilant. A moving company that insists on upfront payments or delivers quotes without a home visit could pose a significant risk. “If the price seems too good to be true, walk away,” advised a consumer advocate.
The situation is still evolving, and 7 On Your Side is urging anyone who has had similar experiences with Noble Moving and Storage to come forward. They are committed to holding the company accountable and ensuring consumers are protected from fraudulent practices.

Stay tuned for updates on this developing story as authorities continue to investigate and customers seek justice against unfair practices in the moving industry.
