Born on February 11, 1942, in Lowell, Massachusetts, Conlon was a cherished husband to his wife of over 61 years, Grace Conlon. Together, they created a loving home that became a haven for their extended family. Conlon’s commitment to family was evident throughout his life, serving as a constant source of encouragement for his children as they pursued their dreams.
Professionally, Conlon began his career at the Courier Citizen Company, eventually becoming Estimating Supervisor. He later worked for Parker Brothers and spent 15 years at Milton Bradley in Springfield before retiring in 2007. His hard work and dedication earned him countless friends who considered him family, showcasing his nature as a true community member.
Conlon was an avid supporter of Boston sports and enjoyed countless hours on the golf course. His love for adventure led to memorable trips to Florida and cruises with his family, filled with laughter and cherished moments. Known affectionately as “Johnny on the spot,” he was always ready to lend a hand with his well-stocked van of tools, whether it meant fixing cars or helping with home repairs.
He took immense pride in attending his grandchildren’s sports events, from Pop Warner to college games, cheering them on from the sidelines. Conlon’s legacy is carried on by his children, Christine LaBrecque and William Conlon, along with their spouses and numerous grandchildren, including the anticipated arrival of a great-grandchild, Baby Cooper, in May 2026.
