Sky and Disney have announced a significant multi-year agreement that will bring Disney+ Standard with Ads to eligible Sky TV packages in the U.K. and Ireland starting in March 2026. This partnership will allow Sky customers to access a wide range of Disney content, including popular franchises from the Marvel Cinematic Universe and Lucasfilm, alongside new offerings such as The Fantastic Four: First Steps and Andor.

In addition to this integration, Sky Cinema subscribers will gain exclusive access to a new Disney+ Cinema linear channel. This development aims to enhance the viewing experience for Sky customers by providing them with an extensive library of content through a single subscription model.

Enhancing Customer Experience

Sophia Ahmad, Chief Consumer Officer at Sky, emphasized the company’s commitment to delivering exceptional content and value. She stated, “We’re focused on giving Sky customers the best content, in the best experience, at the best value, which is why we are delighted to be integrating the Disney+ app into Sky’s market leading technology through a single, simple subscription.”

This agreement is seen as a strategic move to simplify access for customers while enriching Sky’s already robust entertainment offerings, which include Sky Originals, premium sports, and exclusive content from global partners.

This partnership is expected to have significant implications for the competitive streaming landscape in the U.K. and Ireland. By integrating Disney+ into Sky’s offerings, both companies aim to attract a broader audience, enhancing customer loyalty and engagement. The collaboration reflects a growing trend among media companies to bundle services and provide more comprehensive entertainment solutions.

As streaming services continue to evolve, this agreement between Sky and Disney is poised to redefine the way audiences consume content in the region, making it easier than ever for viewers to access their favorite shows and movies. The deal aligns with the industry’s shift towards providing value through convenience and diverse content libraries.
