In anticipation of the upcoming deliveries, United plans to introduce a new series of aircraft designated “78L.” These will feature a more premium-heavy layout, accommodating 64 Polaris suites, 35 Premium Plus seats, and 123 economy seats.

This new configuration will allow for enhanced comfort, particularly in window seats and center seats in the first eight rows, while the subsequent rows will feature a herringbone layout.
