Joe Alwyn Joins Rachel Weisz in Tomas Alfredson’s New Film

Joe Alwyn, known for his roles in Hamnet and The Brutalist, is set to join the cast of Seance on a Wet Afternoon, a new film directed by Tomas Alfredson, famed for works like Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy and Let The Right One In. Currently in production in the U.K., the film features an impressive lineup, including Rachel Weisz and Matthew Macfadyen.

In this gripping drama, Weisz takes on the role of Myra, a self-proclaimed medium. She persuades her husband, Billy (portrayed by Macfadyen), to kidnap the son of a wealthy family. Myra’s aim is to lead the police to the supposedly “missing” child, thereby validating her psychic claims. The storyline, penned by Jack Thorne, who also wrote the acclaimed film Adolescence, promises a blend of suspense and psychological intrigue.
