The latest Tremendous 10 poll, presented by Central Florida Behavioral Health, highlights outstanding performances by Polk County’s top high school athletes from April 27 through May 2. Bartow pitcher Ryleigh Knowlton stood out with a dominant performance in the softball semifinals, pitching a three-hitter with 10 strikeouts while also delivering key hits to keep her team’s championship dreams alive. Her remarkable stats include a 17-2 pitching record, a jaw-dropping 0.59 ERA, 185 strikeouts, and a .338 batting average with 20 RBIs this season. Her clutch double in the semifinal tied the game and energized the entire squad.
Auburndale senior McKenna Battilla capped her tennis career by finishing as the state runner-up in the Class 3A tournament, becoming only the third player from Polk County to reach a state singles title match. Her journey energizes the local tennis community as the season’s pressure intensifies.

In baseball, Lakeland Christian’s Maclain Irby delivered the game-winning hit clinching the best-of-3 regional semifinal against Cocoa Beach, boosting his batting average to .282 with four RBIs in the series. Meanwhile, Winter Haven’s Jody Wilson batted .500 with multiple extra-base hits and was the winning pitcher in the regional semifinals.

Lake Wales’ Zamirya McBurrows dominated with a one-hit shutout and 10 strikeouts to secure the district title, also contributing offensively. McKeel freshman Kamryn Scobey helped her softball team with three RBIs and a .345 batting average this season.
On the track, Tori Gibson of George Jenkins amassed 28 points at the 4A-2 region meet, winning the long jump and placing second in hurdles, while Auburndale’s sophomore Wizly Payoute and Victory Christian’s Andrew Morrison won key sprint and hurdle events in their regions.
